It’s six thirty and its bath time at the Habbershaw household. Our two children, who are 4 and 2 years old, enjoy this part of the day. The bath is filled with bubbles, toys and crayons scattered everywhere and they both jump in to get started. Their favorite part of bath time is drawing on the tiles around the bath, as from their perspective it’s the only time everybody can scribble on the walls without getting in trouble
I have always been a terrible artist; my favorite drawing from when I was a child was cartoon-like elephant from behind which became a huge hit with both children. My daughter wanted mummy to draw it every evening and finally one day she said, "Mummy why do you always draw him from behind"? I replied to her in my native Swedish, “an elephant from behind is good luck" and with that she said, "If he is so lucky, then I want him with me at all times."
Lightening struck! Not quite immediately, then within time we thought about creating a children’s clothes line incorporating the lucky elephant. The next step was what do we call him? We went through 1001 names and kept coming back to habby. This nickname was given to my husband by his friends when he was growing up in the English countryside, our last name shortened, Habbershaw to habby. The name sounds very positive and has a good ring to it, very catchy and hopefully easy to remember, we think.
Aside from the clothing line we are introducing unique and fun games. The first product is the personalized memory game. This was the brainchild of my sister-in-law. She sent our daughter a home made memory game for Christmas when she was a baby. Her thought process she rarely sees her daddy’s side of the family as they lived across Europe and we are based in the US. She wanted my daughter to be able to identify and know who was who, Granny, her cousins and so on.
All you need to do is upload your images on to our website and we will do the rest. The game is the same as you probably remember it as a child; fun and easy to play and an educational escape from the technological world we now all live in.
We hope you enjoy our website and value your comments and suggestions. Please find below the original image of habby at bath time.
